You may have noticed that things have been quiet on House Vegan lately, and I’m so excited to share why. I’m writing a book! An eBook, but a book nonetheless. I’m excited, elated, terrified, consumed; it’s been a roller coaster that’s only getting bumpier and more fun as I wade through the process.

So what’s it about? It’s mostly a cookbook addressing Fall FoMo (fear of missing out), and how to experience it no more. Have you ever lamented that your Fall feels nothing like that leafy, pumpkin spice-scented, candy corn-stuffed, knit sweater-covered Autumn wonderland that every other blogger, Pinterest-er, and magazine editor seems to enjoy? I did for years, but eventually I said “No more!”. I decided to pumpkin all the things and consume myself in Autumn despite Texas heat through December, a tiny home, and cats that eat everything. I chose not to let the realities of my lifestyle impede on my ability in enjoy Fall in every way possible, and even in some ways not possible. Like Captain Kirk, I don’t believe in the no-win scenario.
I always dress like a witch when photographing Fall recipes. Nah, I’m kidding. Or am I?
As we head into August, school, football, etc. get excited. And if you’re already excited then help me. That’s right, help me. I need recipe testers!

UPDATE: Thank you all so much for submitting! I now have an abundance of wonderful testers, and am ready to shut down this request. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your interest! I am in awe that you would be willing to help me, and I love you for it. Please feel free to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Bloglovin’ and Pinterest for news, general buzz, and a Fall-centric giveaway or two 🙂
If you’re interested in eating lots of pumpkin and sage in early August then this is a great opportunity to do so. This isn’t a large ebook, so I only need about 7-10 testers who can do the following:
Follow my recipes verbatim without substitutions.Take pictures so that I can see how the recipes look when made by someone other than myself. They don’t have to be pretty or high quality at all. Bonus points if you’re ok with me sharing the pictures on social media, but this is nowhere near required.Provide brutally honest feedback about the effectiveness of the recipes, and the finished product’s taste or performance.
Your beautiful name credited in the ebook.A free copy of the finished ebook. My love and gratitude.
Me at 3 or 4 already obsessed with Fall. And fyi, I still dress like this.
Thank you all so much!
